Benefits of using magnesium and heat

Magnesium is an essential mineral your muscles need after intense activity. During skiing, the body's magnesium stores are depleted, which can lead to cramps, stiffness and slow recovery. Which products should I use when?

We recommend starting the day by applying HEAT to exposed areas so your body warms up from the start.

Feel free to take HEAT with you to the slopes - optionally together with REPAIR, our multi-balm, which is unrivaled for very dry or chapped skin - and use it as needed.

When you get home, massage RELAX well into your skin to give your body the best possible conditions for recovery.

How do I get a warming effect from HEAT?

Shake the product before use.
Roll HEAT onto the areas of skin you want to warm — preferably in generous amounts.

If you want more heat:
Repeat the application of HEAT after 20 minutes if you need a stronger effect. The warming effect can also be reactivated for up to 24 hours by adding other sources of heat, e.g., a hot cloth, exercise, or about a minute with a hairdryer if you want a proper boost.

If you want less heat:
The warming effect can be reduced by applying oil to the area. This is also the best way to neutralize the product on the skin.

Who can use HEAT?

Whether your muscle soreness is in your lower back, your neck, or your legs after a long day on the mountain, help is available with HEAT. With the moisturizing little heat booster you will quickly feel warmth spreading on and around the areas where you feel soreness. The warming sensation helps you relax and gives your body the calm time it needs to recover.

Because the warming sensation can be very intense for some people, we do not recommend using it on young children.

What helps best with my recovery after skiing?

The best way to support your recovery after skiing is to apply magnesium generously - preferably Relax, which is Cana Cares' most highly concentrated magnesium serum. Feel free to use plenty and massage the product well into the skin to maximize absorption.
If you're sore, we recommend rolling Heat on afterward to create a warming sensation that helps you relax more fully - so you can be ready for another day on the slopes tomorrow.

Which magnesium should I choose?

At Cana Care we have developed our products with a primary focus on high effectiveness. Relax is the product with the highest magnesium concentration, and therefore the one we recommend after skiing.

The magnesium content is the same, whether you choose Relax as a roll-on or as a spray.
