Sunscreen

Sunscreen with SPF 30 and 50 for the whole family, also as a roll-on.

Good to know about sunscreen

Which SPF should you choose?

SPF 30 blocks about 97% of the sun's rays and SPF 50 about 98%. If you have fair or sensitive skin, or you'll be in strong sun, choose SPF 50.

Use enough sunscreen

You only get the protection stated on the bottle when you use enough. Apply it 20 minutes before you go out, and again after swimming or drying off with a towel.

For children and the face

The roll-on makes it easy to put sunscreen on children who won't stand still. Sun Balm SPF50 is for the face and particularly exposed areas, and all our sunscreens are fragrance-free.

More questions about sunscreen

Does the PROTECT sun range contain fragrance?

No. All our sunscreens are fragrance-free and free from endocrine disruptors. Made with care and for the whole family.

What does it mean that the sunscreen is water-resistant?

A water-resistant sunscreen has been tested to retain at least 50% of its protection after 2x20 minutes in the water. It's important to understand, though, that no sunscreen is waterproof. So always remember to reapply sunscreen after swimming, sweating or drying off with a towel, so you can be sure you're optimally protected.

Will the sunscreen stain my clothes?

Yes - and no. We recommend always applying sunscreen at least 20 minutes before you go out in the sun - and conveniently, ideally also in time for the sunscreen to absorb fully into the skin before you get dressed. When the sunscreen has fully absorbed into the skin before you put on clothes, you minimize the risk of stains on your clothes. It can still happen, for example if you sweat, so always be careful, especially with light-colored fabrics, and make sure to wash the sunscreen off your skin before you go to bed, so it doesn't rub off on your bedding.

Can I use sunscreen on my face?

Yes, you can easily use Cana Care Sun Lotion SPF 30 on your face. We have developed our sunscreen with so much care that it feels more like a face cream than a traditional sun protection. The formula is packed with nature's own moisturizers such as soothing aloe vera and cooling cucumber extract, which together with nourishing vitamin E give your skin the ultimate care in the sun. The sunscreen absorbs in no time and leaves your face with a silky-soft, matte finish that is neither sticky nor shiny. We only use the newest and gentlest sun filters, which are very comfortable on the delicate skin of the face. As it is also effectively water-resistant, you can be active and enjoy the water without compromising on your protection. In short, it's the perfect all-in-one solution for your daily routine, both for your face and your body.

What is the difference between a sun lotion and a sun balm?

The biggest difference lies in the composition. While a sun lotion is a light cream (an emulsion of water and oil) that is easy to spread over the whole body and absorbs quickly, our sun balm is 100% free from water. This makes it extremely concentrated and rich in nourishing ingredients such as shea butter and squalane. Because it is water-free, it settles on the skin as a protective shield that not only blocks the sun's rays but also actively helps repair and rebuild the skin barrier. Cana Care's sun balm is your "specialist" for the areas that need extra intensive care and protection against drying out – both in the summer sun and in the winter cold.
