I had my back – and I got better.
Against all odds, my business didn’t suffer after I publicly shared that I had cancer. On the contrary, I was overwhelmed by an outpouring of love in every way. My customers stayed loyal, many made large purchases for gifts, and it felt like each of my followers genuinely made an effort to help me through this difficult time.
And since my work didn’t – and couldn’t – demand much of my time in those early days, it was a blessing not to worry about the business’s survival. The orders kept coming – steadily increasing, day by day.
My one employee became two, and they were so sweet, keeping me updated with order numbers and lovely messages from customers. Those messages, especially, sparked something in me, giving me strength in my vulnerable state.
I’ve always been driven by a desire to make a difference for others. So, discovering that I could still make a positive impact through my products, even while being completely absent due to illness, meant the world to me. To make a difference for others, even while I was effectively ‘gone,’ was like a wake-up call. Because this was what I was meant to do!
Cana Care became a source of energy rather than a drain because I knew, in the end, it was ‘just’ about making a positive difference in others’ lives. That was what it was all about. And yes, it still is today – three years, many employees, new products, and larger office spaces later.
Yes, I was lucky to recover, and now I’m back with my team, and I can’t wait to take you along on this exciting journey too ❤️
