Tonight the popular TV show on DR1, Løvens Hule, premieres again — the show I had the honor of “opening” last year. It was the program’s 10th anniversary when I appeared as the season’s very first entrepreneur. And oh, was I nervous. Do you remember? (If not, you can stream the episode on DR right HERE). In those first minutes it felt like I couldn’t breathe. Because even though for many it may be “just” a TV show, there is a lot at stake for the entrepreneurs — for me that day as I stood sweating in the studio hoping to bring one or more investors on board. Not so much because of the money — I’ve generally had good control of my business — but because I missed more diversity and broader skills.
... And luckily it went well! All five lions showed interest, and with Nikolaj Nyholm and Tahir Siddique on board I not only walked away with two new investors, but also with an investment at the highest valuation ever for a female entrepreneur. Phew! That’s a big responsibility.
It’s a responsibility we’ve both honored. I with performance in numbers, the bottom line and all that boring stuff; and my investors with continued respect for me and for what my real mission with Cana Care is: to help as many people as possible. That is the most important thing to me.
Award-winning skincare with proven results
The past year has brought many wins! (Granted, not without bumps, but in hindsight those bumps thankfully pale against all the good).
One of the highlights is undoubtedly Breeze, which was actually the only product we launched under Cana Care in 2025. I came up with the idea for the little cooling roll-on in 2022 when I experienced how awful hot flashes were (due to early menopause after my cancer treatment). At the end of April 2025 it finally became a reality, and more than 20,000 (!) women benefited from it within the first few months.
It completely took off — and as if that wasn’t enough, later that year it even won an award in Magasinet Liv’s annual “Pro Age Favorites” awards as the best body care product for women 40+, and I couldn’t be prouder!
Of course, Breeze is also great for younger women (and children), especially in summer when many enjoy its quick cooling and effective relief after mosquito bites. But for women in and around menopause, it feels almost revolutionary to have created a product that doesn’t fight nature but instead provides effective relief (and cooling) for hot flashes, making them feel both shorter and milder. I am so grateful to have brought that to market, in Denmark and starting to expand abroad.
But Breeze is by no means alone. Soft, our beloved hand cream, also won an award: best hand care product of the year. And we finally completed the first external studies of our products, which among other things gave us documentation that Ease can help with dry and rough skin, and that Grow reduces hair loss in as many as 95% of users when used twice daily for at least 90 days.

CSR & Charity: Our joint contribution to the Red Cross
It has always been important to me to donate both products and money to charitable causes. Over the years we have, for example, donated products worth more than 700,000 DKK to selected women’s centers, midwives, children’s hospices and others who requested our help. In 2025 we ramped up our efforts as part of this year’s Red Cross Club 10, dedicating an entire year to fundraising for the cause.
As part of the campaign we donate all packaging fees directly to the Red Cross, and at the end of the year we launched the coziest, thick, soft and 100% organic cotton terry bathrobes, where we donate 100 DKK from each adult robe sold and 50 DKK from each child robe sold.
Many small streams make a big river — and so far we’ve raised more than a quarter of a million DKK — cool cash — for the Red Cross.
That makes me SO happy; especially doing it together with new investors who clearly care about the company’s profits. Because I believe we can do both: do good for others, give away some of what we have, and at the same time grow the business in a healthy way.
Closer to you: Live events, knowledge sharing and sold-out gatherings
The past year has also brought many wonderful moments with you. We held our very first live event shortly after Løvens Hule, and since then it’s become a regular thing, almost monthly, where either I or my colleague Frederikke invite you in for inspiration, knowledge sharing — and the occasional great offer. It’s become a real favorite for me because during these live events I get to “talk” directly with many of you, and it’s simply SO cozy!
But best of all has been meeting in person at our last three cinema events in Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen. We sold tickets to those three events through our newsletter (if you’re not subscribed yet, you can sign up HERE) and were blown away when all three sold out within just TWO HOURS!! We put effort into inviting guests to an exclusive premiere of Klassefesten 4, where everyone got popcorn, soda — and of course goodie bags (and prizes!) in true event fashion. It was SUPER cozy, and I’m already excited to start planning our next events <3
A look into 2026: New launch coming
It truly has been a great year since I was hyperventilating in Løvens Hule, and right now I’m betting big that the coming year will be the same. My small, wonderful team and I have worked hard; and even though we may not release a revolution like Breeze this summer, I still believe it will be really great when we launch our version of (one of) summer’s must-have products: sunscreen! I’m looking forward to it, because with sunscreen we can hopefully help and protect even more people than we have so far — and back to the mission, that’s what it’s all about <3
